The Ministry of Finance Maldiv called the creation of a blockchain center a chance to overcome a protracted debt crisis. Officials believe that the blockchain center will be in demand among world companies, given the geographical position and stable political situation.
According to Nadim Hussain, General Director of MBS Global, a project for over $ 4 billion has already been ensured. Financing is planned from shareholder capital and loans through the investors consortium.
“We immediately appreciated what was required in terms of financing, concluded the necessary alliances and attracted the necessary partners to ensure the influx of funds,” the head of the company said.
The blockchain center “Focused on the development of financial technology and digital economy”, as well as the management of international financial flows, the authors of the project said.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim met with the former General Director of the Binance Crypto-Existing House Changpeng Zhao to discuss the possibilities of assisting a businessman in the digital assets and blockchain market.
