An eyewitness told Reuters he heard a bang in the area, though police did not comment on whether there was a controlled explosion.
“Police are currently in the area of ​​Westminster Abbey and are dealing with an ongoing incident involving a suspicious vehicle,” Metropolitan Police said on Twitter.
“Access to roads has been blocked, while emergency services are dealing with the incident.”
