Xiaomi may just be working on its own version of the Apple AirTag, sources say. The company recently filed a patent called “Method and Device for Finding Objects.”
According to ITHome, the patent describes a miniature device that allows you to find various items. Of course, first you need to attach this device, for example, to a keychain or a dog collar.

Apparently, we are talking about a smart tag that will work on the same principle as the Apple AirTag. The Cupertino-based company unveiled its smart tags in April this year, but Samsung and other companies had launched similar products before it.
Xiaomi has never been shy about releasing devices similar to Apple’s gadgets, often offering equally functional new items at much more attractive prices. However, for now, the fact of preparing a Xiaomi smart tag is only an assumption.
In Russia, Apple AirTag is offered for 2,990 rubles, and a set of four devices is available for 9,990 rubles.
