The Chinese automaker Dongfeng is not new to the Russian market. Previously, the company tried to gain a foothold in the passenger car segment, but it did not work out, and now it decided to try its luck with its DF 6 pickup truck. It is a relative of the Nissan Navara: both cars are produced at a joint plant in China, they have the same frame, chassis and cab. The Chinese model is distinguished by the engine, interior and appearance of the front part.
Nissan Navara has never been sold in Russia, and plans to deliver a Dongfeng pickup truck to the country became known in January of this year. As noted by the publication “Autoreview”, the car has one version with a two-row cab. Its length is 5310 mm, weight – 2459 kg, ground clearance – 220 mm. The carrying capacity according to the passport is 484 kg and, according to the certificate, trailer towing is not provided.

The Dongfeng DF 6 comes with a low-boost 2.5 turbodiesel (136 hp, 305 Nm), a five-speed manual gearbox and hard-wired all-wheel drive. There is hydraulic power steering, 16-inch wheels and rear drum brakes. There are also options for a pickup truck with a gasoline engine, a diesel engine and an automatic, as well as with rear-wheel drive, but these are not expected in Russia.

One package — Comfort. It includes a leather interior, a simple audio system, two airbags, ABS and a stabilization system, air conditioning, heated front seats, rear parking sensors, a keyless entry system and engine start with a button. The cost of Dongfeng DF 6 is 2,790,000 rubles.
