Today, November 17, Porsche has officially unveiled two new versions of its Taycan electric car – now potential buyers can opt for the GTS sedan or the GTS Sport Turismo station wagon. It is worth noting that, in addition to the body shape, there are no differences between these cars – they are both equipped with an electric power plant with two electric motors, the largest batteries in the brand’s arsenal and can boast the ability to accelerate from zero to a hundred in 3.5 seconds. At the same time, the equipment is inferior to the Taycan Turbo in terms of power, but surpasses the Taycan 4S – Porsche considers the GTS version to be the “golden mean” in the lineup.
Externally, the car turned out to be a little more aggressive than the basic version – the manufacturer equipped the Porsche Taycan GTS with the SportDesign package, which includes a new front bumper and decorative sills, plus dark matrix headlights, a black rear diffuser and stylish 20-inch Taycan Turbo S Aero wheels Design. In addition, the manufacturer suddenly increased the brake discs compared to the 4S, and also reconfigured the Porsche Active Suspension Management adaptive air suspension and redesigned the artificial sound system from the Porsche Electric Sport Sound engine.
In the cabin, everything remained in place, but some decorative elements have changed – matte anodized aluminum and the GTS lettering on the seats appeared, and the interior trim itself is made of a special microfiber called Race-Tex. Fortunately, the manufacturer did not delay the prices – in Russia the Taycan GTS sedan will be sold at 9,770,000 rubles for the base version (1,480,000 more expensive than the Taycan 4S), and the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo station wagon costs 9,840,000 in the base rubles. Both models will go to official leaders in the spring of 2022.
