A destroyer of the Royal Navy of Britain and a frigate from the Netherlands entered the Black Sea: photo

The British destroyer HMS Defender D36 and the Dutch frigate HNMLS Evertsen F805 entered the Black Sea. Before that, both ships rested in Istanbul’s Golden Horn Bay, writes Dumskaya.

 

Both the destroyer and the frigate are members of the escort squadron of the British aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth, which went on its first round the world voyage back in May this year. In total, he is accompanied by nine ships and a nuclear submarine.

It is assumed that the ships will take part in the Sea Breeze, a multinational military exercise that has been held in Ukraine since 1997.

HMS Defender (D36) is a British Royal Navy destroyer launched in 2009. Displacement of about 8000 tons. Equipped with missile, artillery, navigation and radar weapons.HNMLS Evertsen (F805) – frigate of the Netherlands Navy. It was commissioned in 2005. Displacement 6050 tons. It is armed with several machine guns, missiles, as well as a multipurpose weapon.
