A dog who disappeared in California nine months ago has miraculously been found in Michigan, more than 2,300 miles (3,770 km) from her home, much to the delight of her owners, it was announced Thursday. Miska, a terrier, disappeared in July without a trace from her home in San Diego, near the Mexican border. He was found a few days ago in Harper Woods in the suburbs of Detroit, on the border with Canada, after crossing the USA by traveling almost 4,000 kilometers. A local animal shelter was able to identify her thanks to the electronic chip she was carrying and contacted her owners, who immediately went to get her. “This is a story Hollywood would dream of turning into a movie,” the animal shelter said on Facebook, where it posted photos of the unexpected reunion. It is currently unclear how Miska managed to travel all this distance.
