It is an intense dialogue between artists A Feminine Lexicon the digital exhibition, accessible from May 20, curated by Pia Diamandis and Elena Tortelli, Arts Curating students at the Istituto Marangoni in Florence and editors of the magazine imfirenzedigest.com.
The project, which intertwines among its plots art, culture, fashion, society, arises from the proposal of Salvatore Ferragamo Museum to give an answer to the assist launched by Women in balance, an artistic reflection, curated by Stefania Ricci and Elvira Valleri, (open from 20 May at the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum), on the role of women in the Italy of the economic boom. Her identity, divided between models of traditional femininity and a contemporary image stretched between the reconciliation of family and work, becomes the fuse of a multi-voice dialoguethose of the eleven international artists involved in the project called to offer their point of view.
On the scene, different cultures, backgrounds and visions, the precious tools to dissect the urgency of a theme that does not seem to know chronological boundaries and to create within the same curatorial framework a transnational, heterogeneous, incomplete lexicon, but capable of recognizing multiple facets of contemporary female identity.
