MooAm Productions announced that on January 15, the film “Cryptoman” will be released, which tells the story of the creation and collapse of Terraform Labs, as well as the Terra-Luna asset, due to which clients lost a total of $40 billion to $60 billion.

According to the film’s script, a group of young entrepreneurs, led by a self-proclaimed business genius who resembles Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon, develops an altcoin called MOMMY.

At some point, the seemingly successful MOMMY project collapses, causing a chain of bankruptcies, and its founder goes on a multi-year run from the law around the world. Do Kwon is now detained by the Montenegrin authorities.

In November, screenwriter Lena Dunha signed contract to adapt the collapse of the FTX crypto exchange and the story of the head of the company, Sam Bankman-Fried. The rights to the story were acquired by Apple and A24.

In August, the Montenegrin Court of Appeal agreed with the decision of the High Court of Podgorica to extradite Do Kwon to South Korea, where the entrepreneur is going to be tried on criminal charges related to the collapse of Terraform Labs. An extradition date has not yet been set.
