EthereumFilm Project Team published message to the crypto community. The creators of a documentary series about programmer Vitalik Buterin and the Ethereum ecosystem talked about their progress and proposed a special model for distributing their work.

The authors noted that they began working on the project in 2021. Over the past few years, they have witnessed a series of significant events both within Ethereum itself and in the cryptocurrency space as a whole. They admitted that meeting Vitalik Buterin left a strong impression on them.
According to the team, the project was implemented with the help of a crowdfunding initiative and support from the crypto community. In the first two days, they managed to raise over 1035 ETH for filming.
This allowed the documentary series to be created as an independent product, EthereumFilm said, without the help of the major studios that, according to the authors, have taken over the entire film industry.
The series is based on the film “Vitalik: An Ethereum Story”. The work tells both about Vitalik Buterin himself and about the formation of one of the world’s leading blockchain ecosystems.
In addition to the central work, the project team will release several episodes called “Ethereum Stories”. According to the authors, it is impossible to fit the story of the mentioned ecosystem and the history surrounding it into one film. Hence the whole series of films.
Zora and distribution
One of the features of the EthereumFilm project is the distribution model that the team chose. Instead of the usual sales through streaming services and the sale of tickets to the premiere in cinemas, the authors launched a special promotion on the Zora platform.
Those who want to support and watch films about Buterin and Ethereum can mint the upcoming trailer for Ethereum Stories on the aforementioned platform. The team intends to distribute tickets to the premiere and sell additional content in a similar way.
EthereumFilm representatives stated that the trailer will be presented to the public on July 23, 2024. This will be preceded by a video mint contest on the Zora platform, which will last 72 hours and start on July 9.
The most active participants of the campaign will receive access to pre-premiere screenings of “Vitalik: An Ethereum Story,” will be able to communicate with members of the film crew, and will be mentioned in the film’s credits.
Pre-sale of tickets for the movie streaming on EthereumFilm will start on July 26, 2024. The global premiere is scheduled for September 18 of this year.
