A fire at an oil warehouse in the Kursk region of Russia after a Ukrainian attack

Three tanks at an oil depot in Russia’s Kursk region were engulfed in flames as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack, its interim governor Alexei Smirnov said today. No injuries were reported in the attack and the fire in one of the tanks was quickly extinguished. However, 82 firefighters and 32 units of equipment are involved in efforts to extinguish the fire at the other two oil tanks, Smirnov said in a post on the Telegram messaging app. Russia’s air defense systems shot down 7 unmanned aerial vehicles launched overnight by Ukrainian forces, the Russian Defense Ministry announced today. Five unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over the Belgorod region and two over the Kursk region, which are on the border with Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry also added in a post on the Telegram app. Source: RES
