A French company has released the Kubb Mini, a handcrafted miniature computer.

The French manufacturer Bleu Jour, which specializes in mini PCs and small desktop systems, has released one of the smallest Kubb Mini computers to date in honor of its 20th anniversary. Visually, it is a 6.8 cm aluminum cube, which houses a 10-watt Intel Celeron N5105 processor, 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and a 128 GB SSD. Unlike other mini-PCs, this new product does not have active cooling.

The body of the Kubb Mini is CNC machined and slotted in a certain way to dissipate heat efficiently. The result is a small, but quite productive computer that runs completely silently. The Intel Celeron N5105 processor is a quad-core / quad-thread chip with a frequency of 2 GHz to 3.3 GHz and a 4 MB cache. The integrated Intel UHD graphics are not exactly suitable for gaming, but support basic 3D acceleration and 4K video playback.

The motherboard has an 8GB LPDDR4 memory chip, while the M.2 SATA 3.0 SSD can be replaced by removing the bottom metal plate. On the front are two USB 3.0 ports, a microSD card slot, and an LED. Behind – two more USB 3.0, a 3.5 mm headphone and microphone jack, HDMI, USB Type-C to power the device, two external Wi-Fi antennas (removable) and a start button. Ethernet is missing.

The Kubb Mini is limited to 200 pieces as it takes a manufacturing partner four hours to make each case. For this reason, this little computer costs a bit more than similar models at $365. Bleu Jour promised to release another batch if there is a lot of demand for this mini-PC.
