A French serial killer appeared in a TV game while the police were looking for him for 35 years

A French serial killer who raped victims as young as 11 appeared on the country's popular TV show after being wanted by police for almost 35 years. François Vérove looked relaxed as he took part in the show 'Tout le monde veut prendre sa place' (Everyone wants to take their place). Vérove, a retired police officer, has raped at least three minors – and is believed to have committed 31 murders and rapes by the late 1990s. His most infamous case involved 11-year-old Cecile Bloch, who was raped before being murdered in the basement of her apartment. However, more than two decades later, he appeared comfortable as he chatted with popular French presenter Nagui Fam on national television. His involvement in the French game show was recently revealed by Marianne magazine.
