The Almaz-Antey Concern upgraded the unmanned modular electric platform, which was supposed to serve as the basis for the E-NEVA electric vehicle, into a gas-electric one. This was announced to TASS by Alexander Vedrov, deputy director general of the holding for production and technological policy.

“We are currently upgrading it (the platform) into a gas-electric one. At the moment, the prototype is located at the Obukhov plant (part of the Almaz-Antey concern). Together with Vitaly Markelov [заместителем председателя правления ПАО “Газпром”] we agreed that in April we would present a finished sample. Then we will think together with Gazprom, because we have developed and are already supplying them with compressed gas filling stations in series. Accordingly, the next step is a developed car.”– said Alexander Vedrov.
Recall that the unmanned modular electric platform was presented by the concern in August 2021, and in December they announced the E-NEVA electric car based on it. What is the electric vehicle (and potentially gas-electric hybrid) E-NEVA? The Obukhov Plant has registered with Rospatent an industrial design of an electric car of the SUV class and 7 more industrial designs of key elements of the interior and exterior of an electric car, such as a center console, a multifunctional steering wheel, a dashboard, the interior of the front and rear doors, etc.
