The dismantling of a “terrorist” network of Hamas in Hebron, on the occupied West Bank, has been announced today by Sin Beth, Israel’s Internal Security Service in a operation that jointly with the army and police. This is “the largest network that has been discovered for 10 years”, says a Shin Bet press release, which explains that it has arrested 60 suspects in this operation, which took place in the last three months. “We captured more than 60 people, seized 22 weapons of different types and clarified the case of an armed attack (…) 15 years ago in which four Israelis were killed,” says Sin Beth. Ten different cores were apart of this network of Islamic organization in Hebron, according to the announcement, which also refers to the existence of an “underground crypt” used to store battle equipment and the hospitality of “fugitives sought by the authorities”.
