It was April 2014 when OPAP put forward its ambitious plan to create a pleasant hospital environment for children and to upgrade the health services provided by the two largest pediatric hospitals in Greece. For the last eight years, the people of OPAP have been watching the progress of the work step by step, looking forward to today, when they would see this life project completed.
The state-of-the-art facilities and modern equipment now available at the Hagia Sophia and Panagiotis and Aglaia Kyriakou hospitals, combined with the cheerful decoration and bright colors, ensure that the children who are there for examinations or treatment have a reason. to smile. For all the above reasons, the people of OPAP, who were guided, a few days ago, to one of the renovated hospitals, are also smiling.
In the context of the transformation of the two hospitals, OPAP has carried out 30 renovation projects, with a total area of ​​14,960 sq.m .. These include 23 nursing units of international standards and a capacity of 564 beds.
