A look into the future of AMD. The first information about processors based on the Zen 6 architecture has appeared

While AMD is only preparing to release the first processors based on the Zen 4 architecture in a few months, the very first data on solutions based on the Zen 6 architecture have appeared on the Web.

In this case, the author is not talking about consumer CPUs, but about Epyc processors of the Venice generation. Before their release, we are waiting for the Genoa and Bergamo generations on Zen 4 and Zen 4c, respectively, then Turin on Zen 5, and only then Venice. Given the available data, it is likely that Venice will be released between the end of 2024 and the end of 2025.

Of course, information is still at a minimum. The source says the new CPUs will feature completely redesigned L2 and L3 cache blocks and deep HBM integration. Most likely, new processors will use a three-dimensional layout with might and main, so AMD will be able to implement various combinations of cache memory and HBM memory.

We can only guess about the number of cores, but we know for sure that the Bergamo generation will have up to 128 cores. AMD will obviously increase the number of cores even more by the release of Venice, but there is no data yet. It is possible that this generation will already have about 200 cores or even more.
