A new Subaru Outback was brought to Russia: 188 horses and almost 4 million rubles for the base

Today, July 15, employees of the Russian subdivision of Subaru officially announced that the sixth generation of the Outback station wagon has arrived in Russia – the acceptance of pre-orders for the car has already begun. It should be noted right away that the novelty is presented with a single 2.5-liter engine with 188 horses – potential buyers will not be able to get other options for power plants in Russia. At the same time, the cost of the station wagon turned out to be very impressive – the basic version of Elegance ES starts at a price of 3,869,000 rubles. However, the difference between the basic and top-end configurations in terms of cost is not so noticeable – for the maximum Premium ES they ask for 3,999,900 rubles.

At the same time, the car, of course, comes with all-wheel drive and a Lineartronic variator, and the sixth generation of the station wagon will be delivered straight from Japan. In the United States, a turbocharged version of the Outback with a capacity of 264 horsepower is available to fans of the brand, but apparently they do not plan to export this engine outside the country. On the other hand, even with a base engine of 188 horsepower, the car has a lot to brag about. For example, there is a new EyeSight camera with a wider field of view – it will help the driver when driving and parking. Also, the manufacturer for the first time implemented LED projection on the windshield, the latest technology for monitoring the driver’s condition and more advanced software appeared.

The new Outback was also equipped with a new adaptive lighting system – the car does not dazzle drivers in the oncoming lane, distributing the light flux more comfortably. Additionally, an upgrade to the adaptive cruise has appeared – now the car can stay in the center of the lane, follow the car in front, move left and right after it (previously it was only possible to keep the distance).

At the moment, the sixth generation Subaru Outback can be pre-ordered on the official website, the date of the start of sales has not yet been announced.
