A new vulnerability has been found in AMD processors. The manufacturer confirmed this and named the vulnerable models

British security researchers from Zero Peril have discovered a new vulnerability with identifier CVE-2021-26333, leading to the disclosure of critical information. She touched on the AMD Platform Security Processor (PSP) chipset driver for multiple CPU architectures. According to experts, the vulnerability allowed unprivileged users to read uninitialized pages of physical memory, where the original data was either moved or unloaded.

The list of CPU models affected may be incomplete as we were able to test this vulnerability on two different systems using Ryzen 2000 and 3000 series processors. At the moment, AMD has updated its recommendations. The company acknowledged the vulnerability and listed the processors on which it can be executed. Among them are the popular Ryzen 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000 and Threadripper models.
