The Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe, located in southern Ukraine, as reported by APE-MPE, has been disconnected from the mains and risks being in a situation where the security systems will be powered by diesel powered generators.

According to experts, cutting the power supply to the reactors could cause their cooling process to stop and the reactor core to melt.
