A 51-year-old man nursewho sexually abused and recorded four unconscious patients, as well as his colleagues who used the toilet, led to prison for 12 years.
The man was convicted after he was found guilty of secretly recording patients who were still unconscious after surgery. Paul Grayson, 51, also admitted to sexually assaulting several women, taking advantage of his position.
The man took advantage of four female patients in their most vulnerable moment, while they are still under the influence of anesthesia after surgery, as told in a British court.
According to the Daily Mail, he recorded all four under their underwear and both were sexually assaulted in hospital Royal Hallamshire in Sheffield.
Sentencing him to 12 years in prison, Judge Jeremy Richardson QC said Grayson had “shamed an honest profession”.
The nurse pleaded guilty to a number of charges including possession of indecent images of children.
At the same time, he committed acts of voyeurism against five female colleagues by secretly videotaping them in the toilets of the hospital.
The judge described how four patients were targeted as they recovered from surgery at Royal Hallamshire Hospital – one of whom was never identified by video.
In court, Grayson – a nurse with more than 25 years of experience – also pleaded guilty to videotaping five nurses who used a hospital toilet and also videotaped two other young women unrelated to the hospital, using hidden cameras.
