A plane nearly collided with 4 other planes at a New York airport

A near-tragedy was averted at New York's JFK Airport when five aircraft on the same runway collided after a communication error. The Swiss Air flight to Zurich was cleared for take-off on April 17 and the pilot began the take-off process with the aircraft speeding down the runway but fortunately had time to brake when he noticed four other planes. Swiss Air has rewarded the quick reflexes of its staff in canceling take-off and averting a potential tragedy at New York airport. “Due to the extensive experience and quick reaction of our crew, a potentially dangerous situation was quickly de-escalated,” Swiss Air said in a statement.
