New York Police Department: Police Officer Alleged of Continued Rape and Sodomism by Colleagues
The New York Police Department has been “on fire” over the allegations of Maria Mendez, who resigned from the body in January 2019, having completed 14 years in the service of the law.
He claims that was raped by two police officers, an officer and a firefighter, at the same time that the men were forcing her to consume alcohol and use hard drugs.
Mendez explicitly speaks of the “unthinkable number” of rapes she suffered, a tragic condition that left her with “physical deformities in her vagina and anus that required surgery,” according to her lawsuit.
The spiral of her rapists forced her to steal drugs from the homes of dead people, abusing her in horrible ways.
Mendez confessed her odyssey to a female boss, Filastin Srour, who called her a “prostitute” and refused to check the charges, threatening to fire her.
The lawsuit even states that videos of her rape were frequently circulated in the department and were seen even by high-ranking officials of the service.
In July 2019, Mendez addressed the Home Office of the police, but also the Manhattan prosecutor’s office, bringing, as she says, evidence of her allegations. A year later she was informed that they would not prosecute, as the crime could not be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.
No one has yet officially responded to Mendez’s allegations, despite the scale of the issue in New York.
