A Professor 2: Mimmo appears between Simone and Manuel, and the fans are divided

It often happens that fiction like A professor gather around them a multitude of fans who cheer for the protagonist characters of those same dramas as if they were family members, taking care that they bring home everything they think those characters deserve. In the case of the Rai Fiction series produced by Banijay Studios Italy cheering is everything for them: for Simon, the son of Professor Balestra who, after the first season, he managed not only to make peace with his homosexuality but also with his father, And Manuel, the reckless man who managed to get out of the shady circles he had ended up in by trying to stay straight with Simone always at his side. The penultimate episode of the first season, broadcast on Rai1 and now also available on Netflix, showed us that, in the end, Simone’s interest in Manuel has been repaid in some way as the two shared not only a kissbut also something more than the splendid direction of Alessandro D’Alatri – disappeared during the making of the second season of A professor, which he is now directing Alessandro Casale – he was able to tell with extreme delicacy.

From that moment on Simone, played by Nicolas Maupasunderstood the message, also because Manuel himself, which has the face of Damiano Gavino, made him understand that he only did what he did because he felt like it at the time, continuing to prefer girls to boys. Things, however, change with the second season of A professor, when it is Mimmo who inserts himself into their friendshipa Neapolitan boy who has served part of his sentence in prison and who, thanks to the intermediation of Professor Balestra played brilliantly by a gigantic Alessandro Gassmann, ends up at his school as an aide. Ever since he saw it, Simone feels an attraction which, at first, seems to annoy Manuel, even if it is not clear whether that annoyance derives from the fact that his friend risks taking time away from him or whether it is for jealousy.

The fact is that Simone launches into the attack, subtly begins to court Mimmo, played sweetly by Domenico Cuomo, until the two come to keep a heavy secret since, to help Simone survive an attack by a homophobic boy at school, Mimmo hits the latter in the back of the head, taking him to hospital. Aware that Mimmo saved his life and that, if he were to find out, he would risk going back to prison and never getting out again, Simone suggests the path of silence to his friend hoping that no one suspects them. Manuel, naturally, does not digest this agreement, and something tells us that the new episodes of A professor they will give us new goodies, even if, for the moment, the fans’ support is still all aimed at Simone and Manuel, renamed for the occasion Simuel making us understand that Brangelina are now a thing of the past.
