A program is launched that will bring together 18 Greek companies with potential investors in Silicon Valley

On February 14, 2022, the first phase of the program will begin, which will bring together 18 Greek companies, with potential customers, strategic partners and investors from Silicon Valley.

According to an announcement, the Hellenic Investment and Export Trade Company (Enterprise Greece), this year, further strengthens the Greek innovation-technology sector and promotes exports, launching an even more comprehensive program to strengthen the extroversion and acceleration of the country’s innovative technology companies. followed by the successful pilot program “Thriving in the Storm” implemented in 2020.

This year’s “Thriving Global Silicon Valley Program” will be implemented in collaboration with USMAC (US Market Access Center) and experts from Silicon Valley. The US-MAC Agency has been active since 1995, providing technology companies with rapid and successful access to the global market through Silicon Valley (www.usmarketaccess.com).

The new program will allow participating technology companies to accelerate their growth by bringing them in direct contact with potential customers, strategic partners and investors from Silicon Valley, while also giving them the opportunity to learn about the United States technology ecosystem. .

The main phases of the program are:

ΦΑΣΗ 1 : Thriving in the Storm – Boot Camp

* Participants: 18 companies

* Duration: 5 days (20 hours)

* Purpose: to inform the participants about the peculiarities of the American market, to understand the product changes they need to make in order to penetrate new foreign markets and to create a realistic timetable and plan for expansion in these markets.

PHASE 2: Global Growth Acceleration: Extroverted Business Acceleration:

* Participants: 6 companies (who have completed the 1st phase)

* Duration: 4 months

* Purpose: each company will be hired by a Silicon Valley industry specialist to receive personalized 25-hour guidance, and will have the opportunity to conduct at least 10 B2B meetings and participate in a Pitch Event with potential investors. The last 2 weeks take place in Silicon Valley.

The first phase of the program will start on February 14, 2022 where after evaluation 18 Greek companies will be selected, of which 6 that will be distinguished will have the opportunity to continue in the 2nd phase of extroverted business acceleration.

The program is aimed at existing and new technological Greek companies that:

* have a fully functional product or service

* have already made sales in the domestic market and want to promote their products / services in international markets with an emphasis on that of Silicon Valley.

The evaluation of the companies will be done by specialized associates of the US-MAC organization – Alfredo Coppola, Co-CEO, US Market Access Center Co-founder, Marin Seed Ventures and Chris Burry, Co-CEO, US Market Access Center Industry Fellow, UC Berkeley .

The selected companies will pay part of the cost of participation in the program.

The program requires participants to have knowledge of English.

The program, as noted, marks the strategic choice of Enterprise Greece to proceed with the development of targeted tools to support the extroversion of Greek companies in the field of new technologies. The program is part of the strategic action plan of Enterprise Greece and utilizes the know-how of the US market and especially of Silicon Valley to guide and advise Greek companies, with the ultimate goal of their access to international markets.

It is reminded that, in the corresponding program that was implemented last year, 12 companies participated, which are: InAccel, Clio Muse, e-satisfaction, Exit Bee, JADBio – Gnosis Data Analysis, Logismos, Information Systems, Nimbata, Owiwi, Siepen, Prisma Electronics, Tekmon and Telenavis. Through this, they had the opportunity to get in touch with the Silicon Valley ecosystem and learn about strategies and tools that will ensure the successful penetration of their products / services worldwide.
