The huge cruise ship called Pangeos was named after the Pangea supercontinent that existed hundreds of millions of years ago. Actually, such a name suits the giant liner perfectly, since at the moment there is not a single ship in the world that can compete with this monster in size. And if the ship gets to the release, then it will be the largest floating structure in the history of mankind.
The cruise liner Pangeos, as conceived by the author, will be a turtle-shaped structure with a length of 550 meters and a width of 610 meters (it is worth noting that when calculating the width of the vehicle, the “flippers” of the turtle liner are taken into account). At the base of the structure will be a huge platform resembling a tortoise shell, and on top of it an oval structure with free space inside will already be built. It turns out something like a football stadium, only on the water and with huge flippers on the right and left, on which pools and recreation areas will be located.
The main section of this cruise ship of the future should consist of hotels, shopping malls, amusement parks, sea and air ports for free access to visitors, as well as luxury villas, clubs and other types of entertainment and leisure. The author of the project assures that such a floating city will provide visitors with a full range of services and will be completely autonomous. And there is some logic in this – it is quite difficult to deliver such a colossus to the port to load passengers and food, because it will be necessary to build separate ports, special infrastructure and more. The giant will receive the energy necessary to maintain the operation of the ship from solar panels and hydroelectric power stations installed in the “fins”.
The new cruise ship will cost about $8 billion, which is about five to eight times more than conventional cruise ships of today’s level. On the other hand, if the average cruise liner holds 4-7 thousand passengers, then the turtle ship will have a capacity of up to 60 thousand passengers. If the incredible structure is still put into production and sent to the water, then the ship can be seen even from space – this is phenomenal.
