“Friends” superfans look no further: now you can spend your days and nights living in a replica of Monica Geller’s apartment.
A home in Ohio (USA) designed to look like the iconic New York apartment has been put up for sale. It features purple and blue walls painted to mimic the iconic TV set and even a mini tub to echo Monica’s bathroom.
The location was used as a “Friends”-themed short-term rental on Airbnb, according to the announcement. In addition to the themed decor, the house, built in 1940, also includes a new firebox, air conditioning and water heater.
Rachel Gannon, the realtor who sells the home, bought the property in November 2021. She and her husband run several themed Airbnbs, she told CNN . When thinking of a theme for a new house, she thought, “What else do I know better than ‘Friends’?”
“So I was sitting every night watching the show a million times, taking notes, shopping online to get everything as close as possible,” she said.
The reaction to the listing “was absolutely crazy,” Gannon said. She received several offers above the listed price of $162,000. “Actually, I’m going to miss it terribly” the house, Gannon said.
