An attempt to make money on cryptocurrency investments for a Kirov woman born in 1975 ended extremely unsuccessfully. The woman lost 2.63 million rubles, some of which was taken on credit.

The story began quite standardly – an unknown person wrote to a resident of Kirov in a messenger. The man offered to make a special contribution, the income of which is formed by investing in cryptocurrency. The minimum deposit term is 90 days, and interest will be accrued from digital wallets to the same account and capitalized, an unknown financial consultant explained.

Kirovchanka decided to try and chose the minimum deposit term. For almost four months, she replenished the purse of scammers – more than 1 million of her own savings, as well as money borrowed from relatives, plus credit funds, went to the account. The platform website regularly showed income from crypto investments, but when the withdrawal deadline came, the page simply stopped working. “Financial Advisor” also disappeared from the messenger.

The Kirov police opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (“Fraud committed on an especially large scale”). Law enforcement officers are trying to identify the scammers, including the creators of the site and the “financial consultant”. If suddenly the perpetrators can be detained, they face up to 10 years in prison.

The other day, a resident of Veliky Novgorod lost 440,000 rubles while trying to buy cryptocurrency.
