A robotic dog has appeared in the Moscow State Property Inspectorate, very similar to the Spot from Boston Dynamics. Apparently, this is a Chinese-made Unitree A1 model, the cost of which ranges from 1.5 million rubles. In the service of the capital’s authorities, she will patrol the streets, photograph and video the specified routes in order to identify various property and land violations.
The head of the State Inspectorate for Real Estate Vladislav Ovchinsky noted that in the near future the smart assistant will start training, he will move along the indicated routes, carry out photo and video recording. In 2022, the robotic dog will be tested in real urban conditions, presumably in the Central Administrative District. After that, she will identify offenses related to the illegal seizure of territories.
The robot is equipped with a GPS-module, thanks to which it is oriented in space, as well as a lidar for creating an accurate three-dimensional map. With its help, specialists can determine the real size of real estate objects. In addition, there is a built-in camera for online patrolling. The smart assistant is made of environmentally friendly materials, it is capable of speeds up to 11 km / h and avoids obstacles.
At the moment, to detect property and land violations, the State Inspectorate for Real Estate uses city video surveillance cameras, quadcopters, as well as special software algorithms that analyze data from information systems.
