According to the portal vc.ru, on July 7, the Yandex.Go service launched the rental of electric scooters. However, so far the new service is available only in Moscow. At the start, you can rent an electric scooter on the territory of Khamovniki, Yakimanka and Arbat, and by the end of this month the geography will expand to the limits of the third transport ring of Moscow and some areas beyond it. Yandex does not specify whether it is planned to launch a service for renting electric scooters in other cities.
You can rent an electric scooter through the Yandex.Go application. Reservation costs 50 rubles and from 6 rubles more the user will pay for each minute of scooter rental. The service is available only to adult users. At the same time, Yandex promises that for the duration of the trip, the service will insure life, health and civil liability – the insurance is included in the rental price. And the technical condition of vehicles is monitored by its own team of Yandex.Go specialists. They carry out timely replacement of batteries and even carry out disinfection, which is especially important in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
For rent, Yandex.Go purchased Ninebot Max Plus electric scooters from Xiaomi. How many scooters the company bought for the start is not reported. But earlier, insiders said that we are talking about about 4,000 devices.
