It was difficult for the ships to move from today Suez Canal, as two tankers encountered a problem and “stuck” for some time in the strait. In fact, the one ship that blocked the canal was under the Greek flag.
According to MarineTraffic, the Minerva Nike ship stopped in the Suez Canal, causing traffic delays.
This is a tanker of crude oil with a Greek flag. Two tugs rushed to help fix the problem.
A new update from MarineTraffic states that “the Minerva Nike is in motion using the engine and is sailing at a speed of 10.7 knots”.
Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that ship traffic on the Suez Canal had slowed as M / T tanker Rumford appeared to be having difficulties in the southern part of the canal.
The Suez Canal Authority later told Reuters that the problem lasted about 10 minutes and “has been resolved”.
