A solo miner mined a block in the Bitcoin network under number 814,308. For the find, the lone miner received the required reward in the amount of 6.25 BTC (approximately $215,000). According to explorer.btc.com, an extraordinary event occurred on October 29.

The power of the equipment with which the solo miner was able to mine the block was 11 PH/s. Bitcoin CGMiner software engineer and Solo Ckpool administrator Con Kolivas noted the lucky winner:

“Congratulations to miner 3KCykmdpBpNKTtZJAvp3u2N2EQjGzbUF7c for ~11PH who mined the 278th solo block on Solo.ckpool.”

In July, a notable event occurred in the history of the first cryptocurrency – the 800,000 block was mined on the Bitcoin network. It contained 3,721 transactions for 1.64 megabytes at a rate of $29,742 per coin.

Previously, a solo miner with an equipment computing power of 750 TH/s mined a block in the Bitcoin network under the number 790,958. For the found block, the miner received a reward of 6.25 BTC (approximately $170,000 at then prices).
