A former Sydney geography teacher has pleaded guilty to the charge had sex with a 14-year-old student on three different occasions.
Monica Elizabeth Young, 24, appeared in court on Monday without the engagement ring in her hand and without the support of her partner, and admitted to having sex with the boy in June and July 2020, according to the Daily Mail.
The former professor’s lawyer said on Monday that her client intended to plead guilty to three of the 12 charges against her.
Yang appeared in court and pleaded guilty to three counts of having sex with the student from June 21 to July 3.
A police statement about the events that reached the court stated that Yang drove the student to a park, where he did sex with him in the car.
Images from security cameras obtained by the investigators allegedly show her car arriving in the park.
The former teacher will undergo a psychiatric examination before her sentence is announced in June.
