A former high school teacher in Houston on USA is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student.
Katrina Maxwell allegedly confessed to the police that in two cases she did sex with the student while she was teaching at CE King High School, according to a new court document published by the Click2Houston website.
The relationship between the teacher and the minor boy was first noticed by an employee in the district where the school is located, according to a report.
The employee reported an incident in which the teacher allegedly threw scissors at the student’s head because he was sitting next to his girlfriend.
Maxwell reportedly admitted to the researchers that she and the student had sex in the back seat of her car. The student, for his part, told police that the couple had sex several times between March and April.
A separate investigation was carried out by the educational authorities of the district, as a result of which Maxwell was fired from her job.
“The district conducted an exhaustive investigation and after its completion we found that these reports were substantiated,” they said in a statement on the case.
“We deeply regret that this has happened and we are committed to continuing to work with law enforcement to ensure that Mrs Maxwell is prosecuted,” the statement added.
