Alexis Tsipras launched an attack on the Energy Regulatory Authority from the floor of Parliament, intervening in the debate on the “doctor for all” bill in which tabled an amendment last week with which he asks until the Justice decides whether the adjustment clause is legal not to cut off the electricity to households and businesses do not pay it.
During his speech, Mr. Tsipras escalated the tones of dissatisfaction towards RAE, calling on it to bring the data to the Parliament, as it is obliged, instead of leaking the amount of the super profits, leaving clear hints that it is in consultation with the Government.
“How much is this super profit now? 1.5 months have passed. RAE, instead of making leaks, has an obligation to inform the parliament. Now the leaks say about 900 million. Bring the data to the Parliament at last,” he said characteristically.
In the same context, the president of SYRIZA said, among other things:
* You regret that Greek society today is in the world you live in but that is not the case. Your Members understand that. Those who are protesting are not only the voters of the opposition, they can also be your own voters.
* We tell you to stop treating Greek citizens in a cynical way, to underestimate their intelligence and especially to call them “thugs”. If the owners of the N.D. died, pay your debts to the State and then wave your finger at the Citizens. It’s not their choice not to pay, I do not know if you understand, it is a weakness.
* The measures you announced leave once again the mechanism of notoriety untouched. When one goes to do the calculation, one sees that you have calculated 280 million euros for 4.2 consumers, you do not understand that people will see 50 arias and 60 arias and will be outraged.
* Mr. Mitsotakis has made the discourse a profession. To announce measures supposedly against accuracy, which the citizen does not see in the accounts. At the TIF you said that you will cover 80% of the clause, 9 months later the clause has been turned into a guillotine.
* We do not call for a movement, I do not pay. We call on you to realize that people who have all learned life to pay, today can not. We ask that you vote in favor of our amendment if you want to help a suffering society. Stop cutting off power to those who cannot afford to pay this adjustment clause. Stop this disgrace.
* Make raids, riots and looting of public wealth. And not only at PPC. From the first day, you turned PPC into a convenience store for blue children with inconceivable fees. We left PPC without a single euro charge for consumers. And you set up a private company with the sole purpose of gaining shareholders. From 7 general managers in 2019 you now have 15. We left 60 assistant general managers and became 250.
* Stop the disgrace and take effective measures. The state should intervene in the configuration of the wholesale stream. Establish a percentage of mandatory bilateral contracts. Activate the social role of PPC, so that it does not work only for the dividends of the funds, the share and the bonuses of the blue children.
* We do not need to say it, you say it yourself, your executives. I listened to Mr. Samaras at your Conference, you are now telling yourself the criminal mistakes of Mr. Mitsotakis with the violent de-ligation.
* As long as the crisis lasts and we are waiting for the Greek justice for how legal the adjustment clause is, not to cut off the electricity to households and businesses. It is necessary to protect the social majority in the face of this crisis. An illegal – according to the assessment of important scientific societies of the country – can not be imposed as a hike. Do you not want the SYRIZA amendment? Download a similar one of your own. We will vote for it.
* How much is this super profit now? 1.5 months have passed. RAE, instead of leaking, has an obligation to inform the parliament. Now the leaks say about 900 million. Bring the data to the Parliament at last. Mr. Mitsotakis should not tax his friends in PPC who have entered and taken the dividends or the energy producers.
* The energy market is a Community directive but as with everything, it is structured in the most distorted way.
* I call on our people to resist. In the adjustment clause, we oppose the political change that the country so desperately needs.
