A. Tsipras: Prime Minister to demand from Biden not to give F16 to Turkey

Alexis Tsipras asked the US President to formally submit a request to the US President not to give F16 to Turkey, referring to the forthcoming visit of Kyriakos Mitsotakis to the US and his meeting with Joe Biden, in an interview given to ALPHA. In fact, he said he was worried about the Greek-Turkish ones, watching the upgrade of its neighbor’s relations with America at a time when the Turkish provocation continues.

Regarding the sanctions in Russia, the president of SYRIZA said that while he wholeheartedly supported them, he sees that the EU in general and Greece in particular are affected, asking for their practical review.

Asked about the amendment tabled by SYRIZA today, asking that the power not be cut to those who do not pay the adjustment clause until the Court rules, Mr. Tsipras rejected the accusation that he “encourages” a new “I do not pay” movement, but asked the government to adopt the amendment or bring another of its own which, however, protects households and businesses.
