A US senator has called on the Russians to assassinate Putin

The sentence makes sense of U.S. Senator Lindsay Grahamwho called on “someone in Russia” to assassinate the Russian president on Thursday Vladimir Putin and offer “a great service” to Russia and the rest of the world.

Graham, a Republican, first made the offer during an appearance on Sean Hannie’s Fox News show. He repeated his comment in a series of posts on Twitter, making reference both to Brutus, who betrayed the Roman emperor Julius Caesar, and to the failed assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler in 1944 by German officer Klaus von Stauffenberg.

“Is there a Brutus in Russia?” “Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian army?”he wondered.

“The only way to end this is for someone in Russia to kill this guy. “He would offer a great service to his homeland and to the world,” the US senator added, as broadcast by the French Agency and relayed by the Athenian News Agency.

Graham, a close ally of former US President Donald Trump, on Friday filed a motion to convict the Russian president and Russian military leaders, accusing them of committing “war crimes” and “crimes against humanity”.
