A useful feature from Windows 11 appeared in Windows 10. This is a tricky protection from colleagues

Despite the fact that the stable version of Windows 11 has been available for almost a year, Microsoft does not stop developing Windows 10. So, now the developers have brought one of the chips of the new system to the old one: adding a PIN code when sending documents for printing.

Starting with Windows 10 version 19044.1806 (KB5014666), users will be able to set a PIN code in the standard system dialog box for printing – the printer will not start working until the cipher set on the computer is entered on it. According to Microsoft, this innovation improves security, reduces paper consumption and ensures privacy – “documents will no longer disappear in the printer.”

This option can be useful in large companies where you need to go to the printer in another room – apparently, cases of theft of other people’s documents (or their peeping) happen quite often.
