The team of the VKontakte social network announced the launch of a useful function in mobile applications. Users will now be able to edit the transcript of their voice messages.
As the developers note, this may be necessary if you notice that the resulting text does not match what you said. The function can also be used as voice input and subsequent editing – it will be faster than typing all the text yourself.
To edit the transcript, you need to click on the voice message and select the “Edit text” item. Editing is available within 24 hours after sending the message. You can edit the decryption of only your own messages, but not strangers. The edited text, as well as in a regular message, will be marked with “(ed.)”. The user can enter a maximum of 20 characters per second of the voice message.
Editing of the transcript is planned to be implemented in the web version of VKontakte later.
