A new feature has appeared in the Viber messenger on smartphones. Now the application can send self-destructing messages, including in group chats. Previously, this was only possible in regular chats with two participants.
You can turn the function on and off directly in some kind of chat, for this you do not need to go to the application settings.
Self-destructing or disappearing messages can be configured to disappear 10 seconds, 1 minute, 1 hour, or 1 day after being read.
The developers also reported that on smartphones running Android 6 or newer, Viber will completely disable forwarding, copying, or taking a screenshot of a message when the fade option is activated. For earlier versions of Android, as well as iOS, group chat participants will be automatically notified if any of the participants takes a screenshot of a message that should disappear. This feature can be applied to any type of message, including photos and stickers.
