The VKontakte team announced the launch of a new VK Video display case in the social network.
Let us remind you that the VK Video platform was announced in October; it should unite the video databases of VKontakte, Odnoklassniki and all the products of VK (formerly Mail.ru Group).
Video Showcase offers access to an extensive library of content – movies, TV series, TV shows, sports matches, esports broadcasts, and other videos. It is emphasized that all content is available for free and in high quality – up to Full HD and 4K.
Long-term professional content is placed in the thematic sections “Films and Series”, “TV Shows”, “Children”, “Video Games”, semi-professional and user-generated content – in recommendations and selections.
The new VK Video showcase is available in the web version of VKontakte at vk.com/video, as well as on the Services tab in the mobile application.
In addition to the large library, developers also note intelligent search and recommendation technologies. Authors and copyright holders can distribute videos to thematic playlists: they can be created both from a personal profile and on behalf of the community. Separate selections will be compiled by the VK Video editorial office, they can be viewed on the video showcase and in the official VK Video community. You can subscribe to playlists – they will appear in the “Subscriptions” section.
