A large American exchange company Virtu Financial, in line with the trend of capital flow from traditional markets to cryptocurrency, is expanding its presence in the digital asset market.
Virtu Financial has posted on LinkedIn a job opening for a weekend trader to work on their new crypto marketplace:
“Our crypto traders are risk managers who help keep the trading system running smoothly and provide critical operational support for our high-performance algorithmic trading strategies.”
The applicant is required to:
-
strategy control and optimization;
-
knowledge of market trends and credit risk management;
-
basic back office and site reliability monitoring;
-
communication and coordination with the global Crypto Trading team
.
The employer is interested in a candidate with Python, SQL, Java or C++ programming experience, experience in the traditional financial system and the crypto industry. The applicant is required to have outstanding problem-solving skills and mathematical ability.
Virtu is looking for a “reliable, trustworthy, highly motivated and disciplined individual,” according to the job posting.
The company is known for creating markets for cryptocurrency exchange products and trying to carve a niche as a wholesaler for crypto brokers. Virtu is working with rival Citadel Securities on a new ecosystem for institutional digital asset trading.
Not only exchange companies, but also insurance companies are beginning to consider the possibility of investing in cryptocurrencies. In June, the American banking giant Goldman Sachs conducted a survey among global insurance companies and it turned out that 6% of them have already invested or want to invest in cryptocurrencies.
