Young Kaylane Vitória Alves, 19, killed by her boyfriend last Sunday (17) in Rio de Janeiro, told a friend, before the crime, that she used to be attacked by her partner. Kaylane was pregnant and was murdered with a razor blade.
Kayque Sales Simão, 18 years old, was arrested for the crime. The young woman was found dead in Rio das Pedras, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro. The body was discovered by the victim's 11-year-old sister.
“[Kayque] He's hit me several times. And if you ask, he will deny it until his death”, wrote the young woman a week before she died.
Kaylane's messages were shared with CNN by her friend, student Maria Clara Sousa, 18 years old.
“He hits to hurt […] He hurt my neck these days and I almost fell to the ground”, said the victim in another part of the conversation.
In a statement to the Civil Police, Maria Clara said that she believed that her friend was emotionally dependent on the boy. She revealed that the couple were not “officially” dating and that Kayque asked Kaylane to abort the baby she was expecting.
To the Civil Police, the 18-year-old boy confessed to having killed his girlfriend after an argument. Kayque said that the action was planned and that is why he took a razor blade to the young woman's house.
According to the investigators' report, sent to the Court, security cameras showed the boy arriving and leaving the property. He would have covered his face in an attempt to not be identified.
