AADE: 449,000 ‘black’ orders worth €5.15 million in catering via delivery

Impressive are the results of the Independent Public Revenue Authority’s audits of catering businesses, regarding the issuance of receipts, when orders are placed through delivery platforms.

These are checks which:

– They are targeted, i.e. the businesses, which are checked, have been selected through the special risk analysis algorithm.

– They are carried out with the help of the data that AADE constantly receives from the ordering platforms, and which are compared with the retail receipts, which have been cut for the specific orders.

Therefore, based on these, the AADE auditors identified 14 catering businesses, which did not cut 449,000 receipts for orders with a total value of 5.15 million euros.

In other words, these businesses collected from their customers, but did not return 592,000 euros of VAT to the tax authorities.
