Aaron Samuels got married! Jonathan Bennet from ‘Mean Girls’ got married in Mexico

Aaron Samuels married and not Cady! Actor Jonathan Bennett, who played Lindsay Lohan’s heartthrob in heavy girlsmarried a few days ago in an intimate ceremony in the Riviera Maya with her fiancé, Jaymes Vaughan.

The ceremony was very special, as the bride and groom made sure to structure it in a way that it could be full of their own traditions. In addition, each of the details was carefully planned and has a very important meaning for the couple.

Inclusion was important at their wedding

The most important thing for them was that all their guests feel included and welcome on such a magical day. For this they chose to get rid of the figures of bridesmaids, godfathers and godmothers and simply referred to their most important guests as “guests of honor”.

All the guests of honor were dressed in black, but a suit or dress was not required. As long as a certain level of formality was met, they were free to wear whatever they wanted, since the most important thing was that everyone felt comfortable and attractive in the way they wanted.

When you’re part of the LGBTQ+ family, not every wedding tradition is for you. The sole purpose of our wedding is to bring us together: the two of us, our families, and to start a new family.

They couldn’t hold back the tears!

Another very significant and emotional detail was that the other guests were all dressed in white. In addition, all the flowers were also in this shade, to honor Jonathan’s mother, who has since passed away. Having everyone dressed in white helped Jonathan feel his presence on such a wonderful day.

I married my best friend! I knew it was going to be an emotional moment, but I don’t think either of them realized how overwhelming it would be until after it was over. Seeing him cry made me cry even more and our guests were crying too and then we all started laughing and then crying again.

“It was a dream wedding”

Last year, when the wedding was still being planned, a salon that was a top choice for the couple turned them down on the grounds that they were a same-sex couple. Although it was a bitter pill to swallow, they didn’t let it spoil their hopes of getting married and, luckily, everything went perfectly on their big day.

Honestly, it was a dream wedding. We had to constantly stop and remind ourselves that we weren’t on a movie set, that this was our real life. The wedding was so perfect that if you had told me it was the set of one of my romantic movies, I would have believed it.
