About 42 people died of coronavirus in Brazil yesterday

The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced Monday that another 1,010 patients with COVID-19 had died in the past 24 hours and 37,156 cases of SARS-CoV-2 had been confirmed.

In the largest country in Latin America, the pandemic of the new coronavirus has reached so far 474,414 deaths out of a total of 16,984,218 confirmed infections.

It is the second deadliest death toll in the world, behind only the United States, and the third highest in the world, behind the United States and India.

Argentina: 733 deaths and over 22,000 cases in 24 hours

The Argentine Ministry of Health announced yesterday Monday that another 733 patients with COVID-19 died in the previous 24 hours, while another 22,195 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed.

Chile: More than 30,000 deaths, more than 1.4 million cases

Chile exceeded the limit of 30,000 deaths on Monday due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus.

Speaking about the “big increase” in the number of patients who have been suffering in recent days, the Minister of Health Enrique Paris clarified that in the previous hours another 121 deaths were found due to COVID-19, with the total death toll reaching 30,058.

Mexico: 34 deaths and 881 cases in 24 hours

The Mexican Ministry of Health announced yesterday Monday 34 deaths of patients due to COVID-19 and 881 cases of SARS-CoV-2, with the official report of the victims of the pandemic of the new coronavirus in the country of 126 million inhabitants reaching 228,838 dead out of a total of 2,434,562 infections.

The number of critically ill patients decreased to 1,060.

17.85 million people have been vaccinated since a mass immunization campaign was launched in Turkey on January 14th.
