How exactly the attackers managed to hack the Discord server of the marketplace is not clear. However, it is known that as a result of the hack, hackers stole about 59 NFTs, including tokens from the Otherside, CloneX, RTFKT and other collections. The total amount of theft remains unknown. At the time of writing, representatives of Trait Sniper did not comment on the hack.
Earlier, the Discord server of the OpenSea marketplace also came under attack.
- Having gained access to the service site on Discor, the attackers advertised a partnership on behalf of OpenSea with YouTube, attaching a link to a fraudulent site.
- In April, unknown persons also hacked into the Discord server of the Bored Apes Yacht Club collection.
- As a result of the hack, hackers stole at least several NFTs from the BAYC and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) collections. The amount of theft was more than $70,000.
