About 7,000 apps were removed from the Russian App Store after the start of a military special operation

Almost 7,000 apps were removed from the Russian segment of the App Store between February 24 and March 14, according to Sensor Tower, an analytics firm.

To date, these apps have been downloaded about 218 million times in Russia, representing just over 3% of the total 6.6 billion installations worldwide. Currently, VPN applications are the most popular.

It should be noted that Apple regularly removes outdated or irrelevant apps from its App Store. So, from February 1 to February 14, 3404 applications were removed from the Russian App Store. In other markets, including the US, 3,422 apps were removed.

Many publishers have also removed their apps and games from the App Store in Belarus. From February 24 to March 14, 5,900 apps were removed, while 3,418 apps disappeared from the local store from February 1 to February 14.
