The BYD Yuan Plus electric crossover, which has been available for pre-order since the beginning of this year, goes on sale in China this week, February 19. BYD offers four models, priced between $20,900 and $24,000. So far, the manufacturer has received more than 20,000 pre-orders.
It is the first all-electric crossover on the new BYD 3.0 platform and was developed using the Dragon Face 3.0 design language. The dimensions of the car are 4455 x 1875 x 1615 mm with a wheelbase of 2720 mm. It is positioned as a compact SUV, while it received a short front overhang and a large wheelbase, which provides quite a lot of seating in the cabin.

The car is equipped with a permanent magnet AC synchronous motor with a maximum power of 203 hp. and peak torque of 310 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.3 seconds.
BYD Yuan Plus is equipped with a 15.6-inch swivel screen and BYD’s DiLink 4.0 (4G) network connection system, which integrates voice recognition, intelligent voice reminders and other functions. The interior was designed by BYD Chief Designer Michel Paganetti himself, who previously worked at Daimler on the design of various Mercedes models, and is built using the latest “rhythmic space” concept. Also on the C-pillar there is a design element “dragon scales”.

The power reserve of the older version reaches 510 km.
