Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has released its latest electric vehicle, the BYD Yuan Plus, which will arrive outside of China. On February 19, Chinese sales began, but BYD Yuan Plus has already been confirmed for Singapore and Australia. In addition, it is expected that it will be sold in other regions of the world.

The BYD Yuan Plus is an all-electric crossover that seats five. It was first demonstrated back in August 2021. BYD Yuan Plus, like BYD Dolphin, is based on BYD’s proprietary 3.0 platform. Yuan Plus is seen as the successor to the earlier BYD Yuan. It has received the latest Dragon Face 3.0 design. The dimensions of the car are 4455 x 1875 x 1615 mm with a wheelbase of 2720 mm. It is positioned as a compact SUV, while it received a short front overhang and a large wheelbase, which provides quite a lot of seating in the cabin.

In China, the car is offered at a price of 22.8 to 24.3 thousand dollars. Pre-orders are already open in Australia and Singapore. The Australian version of the Yuan Plus is called ATTO and the battery is covered by a 7 year or 160,000 km warranty. The Australian model is fully compliant with all global regulations, which will make it easy to export the model to Europe and other countries.
The car is equipped with a permanent magnet AC synchronous motor with a maximum power of 203 hp. and peak torque of 310 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.3 seconds. The power reserve of the older version reaches 510 km.

BYD Yuan Plus is equipped with a 15.6-inch swivel screen and BYD’s DiLink 4.0 (4G) network connection system, which integrates voice recognition, intelligent voice reminders and other functions.
